All Souls Fall Quiet Day

Come join the Souls to retreat into God’s presence for a quiet day of prayer and meditation. The retreat will begin with Morning Prayer in the small chapel on the grounds of Mount Assisi Convent. The day will be unstructured, but materials for guided spiritual exercises will be provided using Psalm 42 as the centerpiece for our day of prayer, scripture meditation, and silence. We will break silence at Noon for a boxed lunch picnic on the grounds, and fellowship and sharing. Silence will resume at 1:00p, and we will end with a brief service of Evening Prayer at 4:30p. 

We will have use of the Convent’s House of Prayer throughout the day as well their several acres of beautiful, forested grounds for walks in view of the full colors of fall.  

Retreat is one of our traditional Anglican practices. It allows us to experience an extended time apart from our busy lives for the purpose of being with God and giving him our undivided attention. Retreat provides us with the gift of time to remember and reflect on the ways the Father loves us and wants to deepen his relationship with us. It is a time of refreshment and grace. It also is a time to enjoy fellowship with our fellow pilgrims who yearn for the peace and love of Christ. 

The cost is $20 payable the day of the retreat by check, Venmo, or cash. Please register by October 11.
