intercessory prayer

After the services on Sundays, two members of our intercessory prayer team meet by the cross to pray with and for anyone who desires prayer. During this season of online services, the intercessory prayer team is available on Sundays for an hour at 11:30a. For information, email prayer@allsouls.com.

If you are in need of prayer at any time, please email your prayer request to prayer@allsouls.com and the prayer chain intercessors will pray for you. Confidentiality and compassion are assured.

daily offices

The daily offices have been a foundational part of Anglican spiritual life since at least the time of the Reformation. The prayer services of Morning, Midday, and Evening Prayer, along with Compline, include readings from the Psalms and the Old and New Testaments and are suitable for any gathering of Christians, ranging from congregational worship to individual devotional life.

Daily Prayer with the Souls

Join the Souls in Daily Prayer using the All Souls’ Daily Prayer site, which we’ve created for the community of All Souls to be united in prayer in individual devotions, family devotions, or small groups. It is adapted from the ACNA 2019 BCP Daily Prayer Offices, and offers options for Morning Prayer, prayer during the day, and Evening Prayer/Compline. The Scripture readings and intercessions change daily. Use this site as a resource for personal prayer and meditation upon God’s Word, knowing others in our community are also praying the same prayers and reading the same texts. If you would like to pray this liturgy online with others, join us Wednesday mornings at 8:00. Please register here ahead of time.

Daily Offices from the 2019 ACNA Book of Common Prayer

Last year, our province approved its own prayer book. All Souls’ Daily Prayer site uses an abridged form of the daily offices from the ACNA 2019 BCP which allows us to pray along with other Anglicans across our denomination. You may also want to also turn to these resources:

  • This website allows you to open the ACNA’s Daily Office in your web browser. This will give you online access to the unabridged daily offices and daily lectionary.

  • If you want the experience of reading from the prayer book itself, you can order one once they are back in stock. Until then, you can access the BCP by downloading a digital copy of the prayer book. The ACNA Book of Common Prayer includes all of the divine services of the church as well as a psalter and the complete collection of prayers and collects.

Other Resources

Here are a few other resources that you can use in your own practice of daily prayer:

  • Download a digital copy of our own seasonal prayer booklet here.
  • The seasonal lectionary reading for Sundays is found here.
  • Some of the liturgies at Every Moment Holy are free to download.
  • Pray as you go is a short, daily podcast that walks you through a contemplative prayer exercise.
