2025 Vestry Nominees

Adam Marshall and his wife, Heather, have been a part of the Anglican Communion spanning 3 continents over their entire married life. Adam is an anthropologist and civil engineer who happens to also have a seminary degree. He grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of north Georgia and somehow became intrigued by urban life — though, his heart remains in them thar hills. He is interested in culture, infrastructure, and the everyday (quotidian) aspects of Christian life. He, along with Heather and their 2 children, Violet and Elliott, are grateful to call All Souls home.

Brita Beitler has been a member of All Souls church since 2013, when she and her husband, Jim, moved back to Wheaton after meeting at Wheaton College as undergrads in 2001. Brita grew up in a variety of churches and is grateful to grow in an Anglican church, learning more about the liturgy, church calendar, and collects, which have helped provide her with a rich and centering rhythm to worship. In the past twelve years, she has served as a House Group leader, on Seasons for Souls, in the Nursery and Sprouts, as a Safe Families host family, and currently as a Catechist for Children’s Worship. She is an Assistant Professor of Education at Wheaton College, where she has the privilege of teaching future teachers. Brita spends her free time reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her two boys, James and Arne.

David Tollefsen landed at All Souls in 2017 after moving back to his hometown of Wheaton from Flagstaff, Arizona where he attended college and started his teaching career. He has been seen around All Souls helping in services as a crucifer, morning prayer reader, participating in choir and most recently as a Verger. He is grateful for the community for being warm, welcoming, faithful and traditional. During the week, David teaches Physics and Environmental Science at Wheaton Academy, where he graduated high school. Outside of academia, he enjoys cooking, biking, reading, the outdoors, hiking and exploring, as well as adventures downtown to the city.
